Breaking news: Tulsa automobile accident attorney reacts to news of head-on collision in Shawnee

A head-on car accident on May 24 claimed the lives of two Shawnee, OK residents and resulted in serious injuries sustained by three high school students, according to a report in news-star.com.

Gary Bailey, 59, and Janice Bailey, 58, both of Shawnee, died in the accident, news-star.com is reporting. The news site also is reporting a car driven by Nicholas Moles, 17, of Shawnee struck Bailey’s pickup head-on, citing an Oklahoma Highway Patrol source.

Moles’ car crossed the center line before colliding with Bailey’s pickup truck, according to news-star.com. Moles was treated and released from Unity Health Center. Two passengers, Dakota Davis, 16, and Tyler Jackson, 17, both of Tecumseh, were taken to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City for treatment, according to news-star.com

Head-on collisions are among the most serious types of accidents, said auto accident lawyer Tulsa Jeff Martin. Injuries can be severe and even fatal, as this case illustrates.
